I am currently planning my baby's first birthday party, and the theme is Totoro! My Neighbor Totoro is a delightful children's movie by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. I have a lot of projects planned for the birthday party, so come back for more details! Here is just one of them: DIY soot sprites! I plan to sprinkle the soot sprites around the house to add a festive, themed touch.
Here is the tutorial that my husband helped me to make, if you want to make some Soot Sprites of your own. You could also make some soot sprites for a Spirited Away theme as well, since they were featured in both movies.
